This district is also where the main airport of Johor state and even to the South West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Senai International Airport is located in Senai.
~ Batu Pahat District. The main urbanization and economic center of the district is located in Batu Pahat City (Penggaram). Penggaram are the second largest city in the state of Johor after Tanjung Puteri. In addition to the Penggaram... the major towns of the district are Yong Peng, Rengit, Parit Raja, Ayer Hitam, Sri Gading, Semerah, Parit Sulong, Senggarang, Parit Yaani & Sri Medan.

The state of Perlis does not have an official land district administration system because the state of Perlis is the smallest state in its geographical area in Malaysia. Not only is the geographical size of the district generally in Malaysia... its population is also more suitable for city district-level compared to state-level. The administration in Kelantan seems to be different from other states in Peninsular Malaysia in terms of administrative level name but in terms of function and manner of administration it is not very different from other states in Peninsular Malaysia. An example is a colony headed by a colony chief in another state called a district headed by a district officer. The district in Kelantan is headed by a carrier (penggawa) which in another state is called parish headed by a headparish (penghulu mukim).
