While this blogpost is being typed... all television stations in the country including government-owned television stations through Radio Television Malaysia (Radio Televisyen Malaysia, RTM), Malaysian Broadcasting Department & Malaysian Ministry of Communications & Multimedia Ministry are located in the Klang Valley area (mostly located in Kuala Lumpur). While this blogpost is being typed... there was a rumor a few years ago that stated the era of RTM digitization will see the existence of state-level television stations owned by RTM. However... there is no shadow of the existence of state-level television stations owned by RTM even though RTM have entered the era of television digitization completely in this country.
Unlike in our neighboring country, the Republic of Indonesia... Malaysia does not have a local public television station at the state and regional levels. Indonesia not only have public television stations at the national level but there are even public television stations in every province operated by the Republic of Indonesia Television (Televisi Republik Indonesia, TVRI) while at the district / regency / city level there are local public radio stations operated by Republic of Indonesia Radio (Radio Republik Indonesia, RRI).
In further enhancing efforts to deliver the platform of aspirations and government policies to the people, convey local news information to the people, preserve / nurture / further develop local cultural arts... in the opinion of the authors of this blog... it is time for Radio Television Malaysia (Radio Televisyen Malaysia, RTM) one step further by creating local public television stations in each state and local public radio stations in each district, subdistrict and local authority under the operation of Radio Television Malaysia (Radio Televisyen Malaysia, RTM).
Some states such as Selangor, Johor, Penang, Pahang, Sarawak and Sabah have the largest population and economic strength in Malaysia... in the opinion of the authors of this blog... some of these states have the potential to have more than one local public television station in some of these states.
In the opinion of the author of this blog... the following is a list of suggestions for the existence of local public television stations of Radio Television Malaysia (Radio Televisyen Malaysia, RTM) that have the potential to be established in this country...
~ TV Tengah. Based in the megalopolitan city center of Kuala Lumpur (Bukit Bintang Triangle) or in the cosmopolitan city center of Putrajaya.
~ TV Wilayah Persekutuan (TVWP). Based in the megalopolitan city center of Kuala Lumpur (Bukit Bintang Triangle) or in the cosmopolitan city center of Putrajaya.
~ TV Kuala Lumpur (TVKL). Based in the megalopolitan city center of Kuala Lumpur (Bukit Bintang Triangle).
~ TV Putrajaya (TVPj). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Putrajaya.
~ TV Labuan (TVLb). Based in Labuan metropolitan city center (Victoria).
~ TV Selangor (TVSg). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Petaling Perdana (Shah Alam).
~ TV Shah Alam (TVSA) or TV Selangor Utara (TVSGU). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Petaling Perdana (Shah Alam).
~ TV Petaling Jaya (TVPJ). Based in metropolitan city center Petaling Utama (Petaling Jaya).
~ TV Bandar Baru Bangi (TVBBB) or TV Selangor Selatan (TVSGS). Based in the metropolitan city center of Hulu Langat (Bandar Baru Bangi).
~ TV Klang (TVKlg) or TV Selangor Barat (TVSGB). Based in the metropolitan city center of Klang.
~ TV Gombak Setia (TVGS) or TV Selangor Timur (TVSGT). Based in the metropolitan city center of Gombak (Gombak Setia).
~ TV Negeri Sembilan (TVNS). Based in the metropolitan city center of Seremban or in the town of Nilai.
~ TV Selatan. Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Johor Bahru (Tanjung Puteri) or in the metropolitan city center of Iskandar Puteri (Medini Iskandar).
~ TV Johor (TVJo). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Johor Bahru (Tanjung Puteri) or in the metropolitan city center of Iskandar Puteri (Medini Iskandar).
~ TV Johor Bahru (TVJB) or TV Johor Selatan (TVJoS). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Johor Bahru (Tanjung Puteri).
~ TV Iskandar Puteri (TVIP). Based in the metropolitan city center Iskandar Puteri (Medini Iskandar).
~ TV Batu Pahat (TVBP) or TV Johor Barat (TVJoB). Based in the metropolitan city center of Batu Pahat (Penggaram).
~ TV Kluang (TVKg) or TV Johor Tengah (TVJoTg). Based in Kluang city center (Mengkibol).
~ TV Muar (TVMr) or TV Johor Utara (TVJoU). Based in Muar city center (Maharani).
~ TV Kota Tinggi (TVKT) or TV Johor Timur (TVJoTim). Based in downtown Kota Tinggi.
~ TV Melaka (TVMk). Based in the metropolitan city center of the state of Malacca (Malacca City) or in the city of Hang Tuah Jaya (Ayer Keroh).
~ TV Utara. Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Penang (George Town).
~ TV Pulau Pinang (TVPP). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Penang (George Town).
~ TV George Town (TVGT) or TV Pulau (TVPl). Based in the cosmopolitan city center of Penang (George Town).
~ TV Bukit Mertajam (TVBM) or TV Seberang Prai (TVSP). Based in the Seberang Prai metropolitan city center (Bukit Mertajam).
~ TV Perak (TVPk). Based in the metropolitan city center of the Kinta Valley (Ipoh) or in the town of Meru Raya.
~ TV Kedah (TVKd). Based in the metropolitan city center of Great North Kedah (Alor Setar) or in the town of Muadzam Shah - Anak Bukit.
~ TV Langkawi (TVLkw). Based in downtown Langkawi Islands (Kuah).
~ TV Perlis (TVPs). Based in the metropolitan city center of Perlis (Kangar) or in the town of Bukit Lagi.
